This is a programme specially designed for Youths aged 12 to 17, to help them to be the leaders of tomorrow with proficient public speaking skills.
Every young person has natural genius, with the potential to become a good communicator and speaker. And this potential needs to be developed.
This programme is designed to develop public speaking skills among youths using visualisation techniques. It helps train young people to use the power of their minds, to have the courage to have a voice, and to stand up and speak up to be counted. They learn to become tomorrow's leaders in business, in the industry and the community.
Participants first learn the foundation of how to use their minds in a more powerful way. They are then guided to discover their talents, skills and abilities. They use their natural genius to learn the ability to communicate their message effectively to their audience.
The Power of Public Speaking for Youths workshop is a well-structured two-day workshop, and will be a fun-filled learning experience. At the end of the programme, there will be PROJECT PRESENTATIONS by the participants.

Ms Kay Wong Ms Kay Wong's professional mission in life is to help keep people on the track of lifelong learning for their professional and personal development. Kay was a marketing communications professional of 20 years. She had been involved in branding, advertising, public relations, event management and strategic planning from working in various multinational advertising agencies, including McCann-Erickson, Peter Beaumont and Friends and TBWA. |
After her stint with multinational agencies, she then set up her own marketing and communications consultancy, with her own set of clients. She has a wide knowledge of different products and services through her extensive work with multinational clients and local corporations. These include the banking, insurance, unit trusts, motoring, education, retail, travel, food and beverage industries, and fast moving consumer goods. Kay is now a certified professional trainer. She currently trains Communication Skills, Business Writing Skills, Presentation Skills, Personal Branding, Marketing, Branding, Marketing Communications and English programmes. Kay is passionate about her training and sharing with professionals who are still hungry and eager to learn, and who believe that learning is a lifelong process. She has conducted her programmes to such participants locally as well as in East Malaysia, Brunei and Hong Kong. She has spoken at conferences on motivational topics as well as topics related to her expertise. She was an Associate Lecturer at Institute of Advertising, Communications and Training (IACT), and a coach and mentor to trainees from the Certified Professional Trainer (IPMA, UK) programme. She has also been very involved in the training of postgraduate students, paving the way for them into the corporate world. As a strong believer in lifelong learning, she is a very active Toastmaster and has participated and won numerous contests in public speaking, speech evaluation and impromptu speaking. She was a Past Area Governor in Toastmasters, Past President of Taman Indrahana Toastmasters Club in Petaling Jaya, and Past Programme Director in the Toastmasters Leadership Institute to help in the training of club officers. Kay holds the title Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) in Toastmasters International. Kay Wong holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts majoring in English from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Besides being a certified PSMB trainer, she is also a Certified Professional Trainer from the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA) of UK. |
